Ingredients

  • 600g chicken thighs (boneless), cubed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1 tsp Chinese five spice
  • 1 tsp ginger (ground or grated)
  • 1 tbsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • Rice, to serve

Method

  1. Add chicken, onion, and garlic to slow cooker.
  2. Mix soy sauce, honey, ketchup, vinegar, five spice, and ginger. Pour over.
  3. Cook LOW 6 hours.
  4. Stir in the cornflour mixture last 30 minutes to thicken.
  5. Serve with rice.

Tips

Add sliced peppers and cashew nuts for a more complete dish.
