Ingredients
- 600g chicken thighs (boneless), cubed
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or white vinegar
- 1 tsp Chinese five spice
- 1 tsp ginger (ground or grated)
- 1 tbsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp water
- Rice, to serve
Method
- Add chicken, onion, and garlic to slow cooker.
- Mix soy sauce, honey, ketchup, vinegar, five spice, and ginger. Pour over.
- Cook LOW 6 hours.
- Stir in the cornflour mixture last 30 minutes to thicken.
- Serve with rice.
Tips
Add sliced peppers and cashew nuts for a more complete dish.
